Syngenta Huddersfield & Unite the Union Staff Raise vital funds for The Welcome Centre
Employees at the Syngenta Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre who are members of Unite the Union, have made an incredible combined donation of £3,200 to The Welcome Centre.
At Christmas, members of Unite the Union were given the option to receive a small gift voucher or donate the cash equivalent to charity through their Workplace Branch. Their generosity resulted in a remarkable £1,600 being raised. Syngenta further demonstrated its commitment to the local community by matching this amount, bringing the total donation to an impressive £3,200.
Sean McGuin, Senior Unite Representative at Syngenta, shared his pride in the initiative:
“We gave our members a choice of a small gift or a donation to charity and we’re delighted to have raised £1,600 which has been matched by the company, to make a total donation of £3,200.
