Will you join us this harvest and help us feed those within our community who need our help?
In our community, many people rely on our foodbank not only to feed themselves but their families too. Often, they have nowhere else to turn and without our support would go hungry.
But we can't provide our food packs without the support of the community. Harvest Festival is the main time of year when our stocks are replenished, preparing for the busy winter months ahead. The seasons may change, but our community support remains strong and constant.
Sadly, we know several churches have closed their doors for a final time after what has been a difficult 18 months. Many have struggled to reopen fully, but for those who plan to host a celebration at Harvest Festival this year, we would be grateful for your continued support.
How to support The Welcome Centre
There are two ways to support us during Harvest this year; financially or with food.
To make a financial donation to our Harvest appeal
Please select an option below to make a financial donation and it will go straight to our Harvest Campaign. You can do this as an individual or as a Church/school.
Alternatively, financial donations can be made via cheque, bank transfer or in cash. All of these options can be found here - please do mark your donation as a Harvest Festival donation.
Donate £2 to buy a box of eggs for our packs
Donate £8 for a selection of toiletries
Donate £19 to provide a weeks food for a person
Want to donate food? Here's the best way to help.
If you want to support us with food donations this year, we've selected the items we really need. Donating these items will make the most difference to our foodbank as they are in short supply and we regularly have to buy them for our packs.
Although we do take a huge variety of foods and toiletries, we do have some large supplies of items such as pasta. Buying pasta for The Welcome Centre means it will go into storage whilst we use our short-dated stock first.
So simply put, if you want to support us with food items, then please donate the items below. You'll make the world of difference to our food bank.
(The items below are examples of the products we need. We are not looking for specific brands, just similar types of items. Do note, we can not accept items with alcohol, such as chicken in wine sauce)
**Our warehouse in Lockwood is open Monday to Friday from 10.15 am to 1.15 pm for your donations. Please note we are unable to take any food donations at our Lord Street Centre.**
