Full list of items we take | The Welcome Centre

The Welcome Centre has limited storage so we can only accept items we can use for our client packs.

Items we receive that we are unable to use, we try to pass on to other charities or organisations who may be able to use them. 

If you are unsure whether we will accept something you wish to donate, or if it's not on the list below, then please do get in touch first to check [email protected]

  • We do not accept used toys, children's clothes or bric-a-brac at any time of year. 
  • We no longer accept any clothing - this includes winter coats

  • Foods or supplements that need to be taken with medical supervision e.g FortisipBaby milk                                                                 
  • Used pillows or duvets 
  • Clothing of any kind (Please contact Huddersfield Mission to donate clothing) 
  • Furniture items (Please contact UK Furniture Bank to donate large furniture items)
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Children's clothes or toys (Children's school uniforms can be donated to Uniform Exchange)
  • Out-of-date food or food that has been opened
  • Large electrical items
