Celebrating Our Volunteers โ The Heart of The Welcome Centre
As part of Volunteersโ Week, we want to shine a spotlight on the 145 incredible volunteers who are the beating heart of The Welcome Centre. Quite simply, our charity wouldnโt be what it is today without them.
Whether they are sorting food packs, helping at the warehouse, delivering support, or assisting behind the scenes — their time, energy, and dedication make a real difference to local people in crisis. Weโre truly grateful for everything they do.
To celebrate and say thank you, we hosted a fantastic volunteer celebration scavenger hunt on Saturday 31st May — stretching from Slaithwaite all the way to Zapato Brewery! Around 30 wonderful volunteers joined us for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and connection. It was a small gesture to show our huge appreciation.
