🏃♀️ Charlie Takes on the Great North Run and Raises Over £791!
On Sunday 7th September 2025, our Fundraising Manager, Charlie, joined 59,999 fellow runners to take on the Great North Run, the world’s biggest half marathon.
While the atmosphere on the day was electric, there was a bit of unexpected buzz around the medal design, which sparked a lot of chatter online. And yes… we couldn’t help but join the conversation!
Here's what Charlie had to say:
“It’s a beautiful medal… it just would’ve been fab if it showed the actual Newcastle / Gateshead route instead of Sunderland! 😂”

Charlie has raised an amazing £791.52 to support people in crisis across our community.
Charlie continues:
"I just want to say a huge thankyou to everyone that sponsored me! It really helped spur me on when at times it was feeling challenging.
