The Welcome Centre Pantry Is Now Open
We’re delighted to introduce the Welcome Centre Pantry, a new affordable food service supporting people and families living in our rural community, including those in HD8 and the surrounding areas.
We know that the rising cost of living is putting increasing pressure on household budgets. For many people, making ends meet can be difficult, but they may not feel that they are at the point where they need to access a crisis food bank.
Our pantry is here to bridge that gap.
Affordable food and essential items
The Welcome Centre Pantry provides a range of low-cost food and essential household items, helping local people make their budgets stretch further.
Whether you’re finding that your weekly shop is becoming harder to afford, looking for ways to reduce your household spending, or simply need a little extra support at the moment, you are very welcome at the Welcome Centre.
There is no judgement and no need to feel embarrassed about asking for support. We’re here to help our community through challenging times and make sure everyone has access to affordable essentials.

When is the pantry open?
The Welcome Centre Pantry is open:
Monday: 10am – 12pm
Wednesday: 10am – 12pm
Friday: 10am – 12pm
Advice Drop-In – Wednesdays
As well as the pantry, our Wednesday sessions include an Advice Drop-In.
This is an opportunity to come along and speak to someone if you need advice, guidance or support with issues that may be affecting you or your household.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come along. Sometimes, having a conversation with someone and knowing where to turn next can make a real difference.
