Local business Ewing IT joins The Welcome Centre as a Corporate Partner.
Milnsbridge based business Ewing IT, has made a corporate donation to help fund the running costs of The Welcome Centre.
Last year, The Welcome Centre gave out 14,159 packs to help people in crisis in Huddersfield and the surrounding area. Those packs go to support people from a wide range of circumstances, including people coping with job loss, debt, eviction, homelessness, domestic violence, drug or alcohol problems, and physical and mental health problems.
Local company Ewing IT, who have over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, have chosen to support The Welcome Centre as a corporate partner, providing a much needed annual donation to support the charity’s work.Ewing IT support The Welcome Centre.
Neil Ewing, Director of Ewing IT, said:
On the run up to Christmas, hearing of families with young children that were unable to make sure they had food and everyday essentials caused us to reflect on what we didn’t need to worry about. Having worked really hard throughout 2019 to build a new business, we wanted to try to give a little back to our local community and The Welcome Centre seemed like the ideal fit. It gave us, as a family, the opportunity to offer something to those who just need that bit of help to get back on their feet. We like the fact that The Welcome Centre operates locally and strives to help people through a difficult period of their lives, not only with immediate help, but with long term support too.

We are incredibly grateful to Ewing IT for the support they are giving to us. Every year we support thousands of families and individuals struggling to make ends meet; the support we provide is in many cases enough to stop a short term crisis turning into a tragedy. Without the generosity and support of local businesses, groups, and individuals, we wouldn’t be able to continue to support those most in need in our community. After showing Neil and Jenny around our food bank, we were delighted when they decided to partner with us, and their donation will really help us make a difference.
