Pets at Home in Huddersfield and Waterloo have launched new community food donation points to help support pets and owners during the cost-of-living crisis.
The collection points have been installed in Huddersfield for those who wish to donate pet food to pet owners in need as part of a UK-wide rollout by the pet care specialist across all 450-plus stores.
The Welcome Centre is the recipient of donations at Waterloo.
In partnership with national pet charity Blue Cross, Pets at Home is seeking donations of dog, cat, puppy and kitten food, as well as food for small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. Donations will then be collected and distributed by Blue Cross to local food banks. Pets at Home has pledged to double all customer donations to the food bank donation points, including the newly installed ones in Huddersfield, between Friday, June 9 and Sunday, June 11.
