40 years after forming, The Killermeters took to the stage of Huddersfield Gas Club, to a packed out room.

Storm Dennis didn’t manage to keep people away, and with all the proceeds of ticket sales being donated to The Welcome Centre it was a fantastic event.

The band, alongside DJ Billy Langdon and Huddersfield Gas Club, gave their time and venue for free and raised a massive £1,100.

Emma Greenough, Fundraising Manager at The Welcome Centre attended the event and said

It was great to see so many people, obviously, long term fans of Mick and the band, come out on such a miserable night. The room at the Gas Club soon filled up, and by the time the band took to the stage they had raised more than £1,100. That size donation makes a real difference to us. It can help provide stock and pay for running costs so that we can keep the doors open all year round to local people in crisis.
