Here at The Welcome Centre, we're more than a food bank.
We provide people in crisis with food and other essential items, it's just part of what we do. We also offer people visiting the food bank one to one Advocacy, Guidance and Support, to help them get back on track in the long term.
Here are some of the additional ways we can help:
- Budgeting support
- Emotional support
- Access to a phone or computer
- Reading and literacy support
- Access to grants
We also produce advice leaflets on a range of topics. You can browse our current leaflets here:
Advice and information leaflets on topics including budgeting, borrowing money, debt advice, fuel poverty, health and wellbeing, housing, money-saving ideas, opening a bank account, and Universal Credit.
Easy to follow recipes for healthy meals that can be cooked using ingredients provided in our food packs, including fish pie, pasta bake, corned beef stew, and vegetable curry.
Visit our Stories to see real-life examples of some of the people we've already helped.
