Marshfest, the family festival for a fiver receives recognition for its amazing work.
In its third year, and with more than £10,000 already raised for The Welcome Centre, Marshfest organisers were delighted to be shortlisted in the Examiner Community Awards for the best community event category.
This years Marshfest takes place on 19th and 20th July, with a huge array of local talent on show. Once again all performers are playing for free and the event is organised by a group of dedicated volunteers.
Tickets for this years Marshfest remain at £5 per adult, with children under 14 free, aiming to make the event accessible to most incomes. Tickets are available from the link below.
The Examiner Community Awards take place on 23rd May, where the finalists will gather to find out who has won.
There are various awards sponsored by local businesses, however Marshfest has been shortlisted with Meltham Beer Festival and Huddersfield Winter Festival.
