Come Dine with Ridley and Hall proves a great success | The Welcome Centre

Back in 2019, Emma Pearmaine set herself the challenge of hosting a number of dinner parties, cooking for her friends and colleagues to raise funds for a number of local charities.

Emma raised a wonderful £808 for Ridley & Hall’s partner charities, The Welcome Centre, Kirkwood Hospice and St Gemma’s Hospice.

To boost funds, in addition to the dinner party evenings, Emma hosted a ‘Come Lunch with Me’ for her colleagues at the Ridley & Hall Huddersfield branch and colleagues indulged on a selection of homemade soups, pastries and desserts.

When discussing the year of fundraising, Emma said:

I love to cook for friends and family at weekends, special occasions and holiday times. At Ridley & Hall we set ourselves challenges to support our annual fundraising for our Ridley & Hall Charity Partners.I'm not as sporty as my fellow Directors and colleagues and with a view to making best use of my skills Ridley & Hall set me a challenge to host a series of dinner parties over the 12 months of 2019.
If the dinner, service, ambience and company were top quality I asked my dinner guests to rate the meal out of 10. I was judged on my performance by my colleagues who are hard taskmasters!I also invited guests to make a donation dependent on the success of the meal to support our 2019 Charity Partners.

Emma Greenough, Fundraising Manager for The Welcome Centre said

We really enjoyed seeing all the photos of each of the meals. It was a great way to fundraise and we're delighted with the £273 we received. This donation will be enough to provide 15 people with enough food for 7 days. Thank you Emma.
